• This weekend the No. 12 Penske Dodge will compete under the Alliance Truck Parts banner. • Hornish scored his first-ever Nationwide Series victory at this event one year ago
• This weekend will mark Hornish's 65th Nationwide Series start - he has scored one victory, one pole, 11 top-five and 27 top-10 finishes in series competition
• This will mark Hornish's fifth NASCAR Nationwide Series start at Phoenix International Raceway. He has seven NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts and six IZOD IndyCar Series career starts at the venue, which include two IndyCar victories (2005 & 2001)
• This is the 13th consecutive year that Hornish has contested a race at Phoenix International Raceway dating back to 2000
• After 31 races, Hornish and the No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Dodge team are ranked fourth in the NNS Championship point standings.
• This weekend the No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts Dodge Challenger will race chassis PRS-225 which last saw action at Loudon as a No. 22 Dodge with Brad Keselowski driving it to a victory

"While I do my best to not say any track is my favorite - Phoenix is one of the places that has been really good to me. I have won in just about everything I've ever raced there and it is always nice to go back there. For whatever reason this track seems to suit me - it is one of the tracks that is very different from corner to corner and it presents unique challenges to the driver. The fans are great and there is always a good turnout. We should have a great shot at finishing up front this weekend in our Alliance Truck Parts Dodge."

"We are excited to head back out to Phoenix. We won this race last year and we raced respectably in the spring race. Overall our Alliance Truck Parts Dodge has been improving on short-tracks and this weekend should be a good one for us. It is always good going to a track where the driver has had success and this is one of those places - Sam comes here knowing he can win here and that brings the whole team up a notch. We will be giving it our best this weekend and we are looking for good things to come our way."
