Sam Hornish Jr. to Start 43rd in Texas Nationwide Race

FORT WORTH, Texas (April 3, 2008) – Sam Hornish Jr., driver of the Penske Racing No. 12 Penske Truck Rental Dodge Charger in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, will start the O’Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway in the 43rd position on Saturday.
 
Qualifying was canceled due to inclement weather and the field was set by 2008 owner points. This will be the first NASCAR Nationwide Series race for the No. 12 Penske Truck Rental team this season.

“Texas Motor Speedway is a very special track for me," said Hornish Jr. “I’ve had a lot of success here in the IndyCar Series. We may be starting in 43rd place here on Saturday but we are determined to work our way up through the field. I’m really proud of the Penske Truck Rental team and we are all excited to make our first Nationwide Series start this year.”

The O’Reilly 300 will air live on ESPN2 on Saturday, April 5, 2008 beginning at 2:30 p.m. EDT. The race will also be broadcast live on PRN at 3:00 p.m. EDT.
